SHAPING

the surfboard shaping is the first step of producing a surfboard. In this step the board gets his final shape.

Glassing

In this part of the board building process the board gets laminated with fiberglass and resin, the resin depends on the foam used.

Sanding/polish

In this final step to board get’s sanded up to 1200 grit and polishes after that gives the board it’s final look and let’s the color pop.

Who is the man behind EM surfboards

My name is Emil I’m a surfboard shaper from Augsburg, Germany. I started shaping a few years ago and since then I couldn’t stop building boards. The idea behind my boards is quality over quantity because I think that a surfboard should last for a long time because this way it is more sustainable than buying cheaper boards made from cheap materials. By doing every step in the building process I make sure that only the best materials are used.
